Vortices are shed in the wake of a fixed cylinder placed in flow for Reynolds numbers larger than 47 (Re>47). These are videos of this vortex shedding at three relatively low Reynolds numbers. Visualizations are done by Bridget Benner, a PhD candidate in my lab.
