This a great idea. A blue ribbon as a symbol of respect and care toward those who suffer from noise pollution. Wonder if it could become a worldwide symbol? It would send a powerful message.

An email we received from a resident in NE London who is overflown by both Heathrow and London City planes. He feels 'broken and helpless' because of the constant noise. The sooner respite is introduced so residents get a break from the noise, the better.

Today there will be demonstrations across Europe and beyond calling for an end to night flights. We have made this short video saying why we believe night flights are unnecessary:

A powerful video about what it is like to live in Leytonstone in NE London under both the Heathrow and London City flight paths and call for a break from the noise when the flightpaths are reorganised over the next couple of years.

Government gives the go-ahead for a second runway at Gatwick (an extra 100,000 flights a year) but campaigners expected to challenge the decision in the courts theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/s…

This is worth listening to. Economist Alex Chapman challenges the economic case for Gatwick expansion. He argues that, since it is mainly a leisure airport, it will enable more people to holiday abroad rather than spend their money in the UK.

Next year London City will consult on plans which will allow bigger planes like the A320neo to use the airport by flying lower on arrival. HACAN East has just published a report comparing the A320neo with the other aircraft, including smaller planes. hacaneast.org.uk/s/Noise-Lesson…

London City Airport’s profit has almost doubled in 2024 thanks to a rise in passenger numbers. But the number of planes using the airport fell. cityam.com/london-city-ai…

Sandra moved into her home in Leytonstone in NE London in 1968, about 20 years before London City Airport opened. Now she gets planes from both London City & Heathrow. She says she would like flight paths to alternate to give her a break from the noise
