Thanks a lot Jonas Geldmann for the support! Supper excited to start this new project with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions grant!!

Very soon I will be moving to Denmark to start a postdoc at the Globe Institute, funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. It will be a huge step in my career and I couldn't be more excited to continue my research with OECMs and biocultural conservation.

New staff👏 Two new colleagues recently joined CMEC - Helena Alves-Pinto and Antonella Gorosábel who are both doing a postdoc w. Jonas Geldmann focusing on evaluating the role of OECMs, and assessing the impacts on on renewable energies on #biodiversity 🌎♻🌿 Welcome, both of you!

What a fantastic conservation team: Helena Alves-Pinto, Harith Farooq, Antonella Gorosábel, and Katherine Pulido Chadid at the annual CMEC retreat. So lucky to be working with these guys!! and thank to DK Frie Forsk.fond and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions for making it possible! 🇧🇷🇩🇰🇲🇿🇦🇷🇨🇴

Day 2 of #SPSP2024 has been the day of my and @Federica_Bocchi's symposium "Demanding Evidence and Addressing Justice at the Intersection of Health and Environmental Sciences", with exciting talks by Federica, Ariane Hanemaayer, and Helena Alves-Pinto.

Getting excited for ECCB 2024 Bologna next week. From our group, CMEC, Katherine Pulido Chadid, Harith Farooq and I will be talking about threats to biodiversity on Wednesday and Friday Antonella Gorosabel will talk about renewable energy and Helena Alves-Pinto about protection and medicinal 🌿

To ECCB 2024 Bologna goers interested in how protected and conserved areas can support biocultural diversity come hear Helena Alves-Pinto tomorrow Friday at 10am in Room A

.Helena Alves-Pinto brilliantly presenting her work on how Area-based conservation is more than state managed protected areas and that they need to also conserve biodiversity that is being used by local communities
