Ever notice how 'error handling' is often just another name for 'writing a polite apology letter to the user for your code's misbehavior'?

It appears Google is going full evil. We cannot update our browser extension.... because it has too many privacy features. Google for Developers Chrome for Developers wtf? This was a response to an appeal of an earlier rejection.

I really dislike when a #WordPress plugin is accepted in the repository but it only includes complied, mangled JS files rather than their source code. Would we accept that if it would be PHP?

People ask "why not do a Brave Lite extension?" or in old days "couldn't you just do extensions?" No, because brand dilution/risk from selection bias for extension knowledge/friction, CWS distribution, API limitations especially Google Manifest V2 deprecation, and now this crap.

Just discovered the irony of AI - training to reduce human effort, ends up sucking out the human hours in debugging. Is this the sweet revenge for all the time we spent yelling 'OK Google'?

#WordPress unpopular opinion, I reach the conclusion that not every site requires a block editor, in some cases the classic old "settings" like UI fits more. I was always pro Block Editor and I still am. But UI is for users and sometimes a group of users are best with classics

"Vibe coding" does not mean any coding with AI. If you are vibing, you're not looking at the code. Building something throwaway or a prototype. That is very different from using AI to write code that is reviewed, tested, and maintained over time. x.com/leerob/status/…

Omarchy is giving new life to entire vintages of Apple abandoned MacBooks that are still perfectly serviceable with the light touch of Linux 🤘

👀 The best React feature ever is finally landing 🎉 <Activity> can hide a React subtree while preserving its state, and keep rendering it with lower priority. It also unlocks super-cool pre-rendering patterns along the way. Love it! ❤️

It would be nice if Discord would not force me to update to get access to the chats, it's very annoying to be cut off the system and be forced to update, even because the latest .deb package is stuck at the splash screen with `Splash.updateCountdownSeconds: undefined`
