Completion of the #GTAWest Transportation Corridor Route Planning and Environmental Assessment Study will define the property envelope for the multimodal transportation corridor and provide greater certainty to stakeholders.

Municipalities and other stakeholders may be conducting studies within the #GTAWest Study Area but the identification of the Preferred Route is the responsibility of the MTO. Look for our logo to be sure you are getting the most up-to-date information about the #GTAWestStudy.

We understand that all #GTAWest routes will have impacts and are following a rigorous process to find the best solution. The #GTAWest Project Team will present a Technically Preferred Route at Public Information Centre 2 in Fall 2019.

The #GTAWest Project Team continues to review and incorporate feedback where possible from stakeholders as each stage of the study progresses.

We will continue to refine the Focused Analysis Area (FAA) at key study stages to inform stakeholders about which properties continue to be within an area of interest. A reduced FAA will be presented at Public Information Centre 2.

The Project Team will be seeking permission to enter properties in areas potentially impacted by the #GTAWest Technically Preferred Route for field investigations to better understand local conditions and property-specific issues in support of preliminary design of the corridor.
