Great news! Ontario’s govt is encouraging new rental! Projects already under construction will be completed as long term rental. Rental proposals scrapped last year may come back! Immediate and near term new rental supply on the way.

Bill 184 will make mediation and alternative dispute resolution services available well in advance of the hearing. Currently this happens on the hearing date. The change will benefit both sides by providing time to discuss and agree on a solution - instead of going to a hearing.

Bill 184 allows for the recovery of costs for falsely pulling a fire alarm - which will deter this irresponsible activity that diverts fire, ambulance and police from real emergencies and puts others at risk.
