THEY TRIED & TRIED And eventually the Lehigh Football fans got the goal post down. Keith Groller John Misinco

POSTGAME PARTY You see some of the trophy presentation for Lehigh Football on the video board, you see the goalpost carried out of the stadium, and, I guess, eventually dumped in the Lehigh River and you see retiring AD Joe Sterrett enjoying one last stroll in the end zone.

2.6 SECONDS LEFT Northampton B-Ball 55-54

CINDERELLA GETS THE CROWN Northampton B-Ball win it 55-54. First EPC title ever. First league title of any kind since a Lehigh Valley League title in 1973.

MORE MOMENTS LIKE THIS TO COME For somebody in the PIAA District XI tourney. In 6A, Northampton B-Ball will play Nazareth-Freedom pigtail winner Feb. 22. Pocono 🏔 West Basketball will play Allen-PV pigtail winner on 2/22. Other 6A quarters that day, Parkland vs Liberty, Whitehall vs PM East.

NOTRE DAME WINS IT In the Colonial League girls title game, Notre Dame Green Pond HS prevails 59-53 over Northwestern Lehigh Lady Tigers Bball. One more title for the Kopp & Boyle families.

BATTERY-CHARGED TIGERS In my opinion, NW TIGER SOFTBALL pitcher Emma Freeman and Georgia Tech-bound catcher Abby Dunstan 2026 form the best battery in local softball. They are also great kids and interviews. They spoke after yesterday’s 10-2 win over Notre Dame Green Pond HS
