MONSTER HURRICANE #ERIN: 🌀 From a Cat 1 to a Cat 5 in hours... this hurricane rapidly intensified into a 160mph system. Thankfully, Erin's forecast path remains well off-shore of any land mass, bypassing the U.S. mainland as it gets swept northward in the coming days.

RAIN CHANCES RETURN: ☔️ A few pop-up downpours are possible Sunday afternoon, mainly S/W of Tulsa... otherwise, we'll wait until a midweek cold front brings a more widespread round or two of rain & thunder - perhaps enough to settle the dust! #okwx

HURRICANE ERIN - its legacy & forecast: 🌀 #Erin was among the fastest strengthening & earliest Cat. 5 hurricanes on record, maxing out with 160 mph sustained winds. The path of the now-Category 4 hurricane takes it up the Gulf Stream off-shore of the East Coast.

STORMY TRANSITION TUESDAY: ⛈⛈ Ahead of a cold front, very hot & humid conditions will fire up storms w/ potentially strong winds & torrential downpours. Not everyone gets the rain & only a few may get severe weather... but we all get the cool-down midweek! 📉#okwx
