Made Texas-style baked beans for my sister’s baby shower saturday: bb's, peppers, onions, smoked sausage, beef, bacon, hot sauce, brown sugar, worcestershire, brown mustard—smoked on the grill for 2.5 hours. Best. Damn. Beans. Ever.

I love this city as well, all of it not just parts...why does Orange Mound where i grew up not deserve to be revitalized...local politicians were giddy about a 1st library "in the history of Orange Mound"...why in 2025 does any neighborhood celebrate a "first library"?!

Got love for ya GP. However, when public voices frame perception as “truth,” it reinforces false narratives and undermines progress. Crime is down. If perception doesn’t reflect reality, leaders/public figures should work to fix the perception — not fuel the fear Gary Parrish.
