Problem is that after a few years, most people normalize extreme climate as normal They also normalize disappearance of world Bees insects birds wildlife, marine life, forests wetlands and their replacement with a sterile barren lifeless landscape as normal

When #Climate scientists are terrified by what they see coming we should be too. There is no time to wait. We're in a #climateEmergency. #ActOnClimate #climate #energy #renewables #rewilding via Peter Kalmus

Rubbish! It's a voice not a veto. You're just making up a scare campaign. Next you'll say that the voice lets back yards be taken! Shame on you!

June was crazy, July will likely be worse: 🌍🌡📈Surface air temperatures highest on record. 🌊🌡📈Global Sea Surface Temperatures highest. 🧊➡️🌊Global Sea Ice lowest. For all days of July so far, with large margins:

Apparently you can't! When asked what might help, the answer was the Uluru statement asking for "a voice". If you vote no, you are not listening in any way. I don't know if the voice will help, but I'm voting yes simply because they asked for it. Don't #VoteNo

I can't believe Mehreen Faruqi has blocked me from continuing the discussion!?! I do pay attention. $2B has been released immediately and a floor of $500M/yr has been created. The gov has listened and adapted. It is the Greens who are unprepared to negotiate!

The world’s 500 richest people collectively added $852 billion to their fortunes during the first half of 2023. That's an average of $14 million a day for each. It's not radical to tax the rich. It's radical to allow this level of extreme wealth concentration to continue.

It's bad. But don't despair. Take action. As António Guterres said “we must turn a year of burning heat into a year of burning ambition. And accelerate climate action – now” (Graph: The Australian Antarctic Program Partnership)

Shameful Tassie’s Single-Rider. "Just days ago this wonder of nature, centuries old but still unimaginable strong and youthful, was alive and a natural wonder. Today the tree’s death is a national disgrace," Bob Brown #politas #auspol bobbrown.org.au/shameful-tassi…

You know how world’s forests are our best hope of drawing down carbon? How we need to plant trees to fight #climate change? What happens when they burn down? 34 million hectares in Canada destroyed this year. Sinks turning into sources is a deadly tipping point

Spending $13M globally A MINUTE - twice what is spent on education - to subsidise an industry that is making record profits while destroying our planet 🫣🤯 theguardian.com/environment/20…

Exactly which predictions have been wrong? If anything, the effects of climate change are coming faster and more catastrophically than was predicted!

Greg Wilkins (@gregwilkins) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Kind of ironic that the #Oppenheimer movie implies that he and his colleagues will be responsible for the fiery death of the planet. When in reality, it was James Watt and his cohort that perfected the stream engine who ultimately caused the #ClimateCrisis that will destroy us.

👇😳 🇦🇶 📉🧊➡️🌊 It really looks like the Antartic sea ice melting season has started with a million km² of sea ice below the previous record low! If this low is maintained for the next 5 months, there is about 400 W/m² of solar radiation available to heat the oceans instead
