When I got started in Oceanography around 15 years ago Richard was one of the first people I met, and he’s helped every step of the way. From my thesis through today, any question I have on ocean tech or getting things wet Richard is the first person I ask.

Tristan joined the crew about a year ago, and we’ve been part of the same research group for a decade. He is scientifically rigorous, an innovative problem solver, and pleasure to work with. His commitment to excellence challenges and teaches me regularly, in a brilliant way.

I’m honoured and excited about where this collaboration can go! Also overwhelmed by support from coastal communities where we work. It’s clear that ocean research is valued at working waterfronts, and needed for ongoing scientific discovery, and sustainable ocean industries.
