Sometimes I wonder if there is a whole generation of cutesy, "I want better cities" activists who are simply lobbying for unscrupulous developers. This allows building offices while maximizing profits and putting the burden of parking into the adjacent residential streets.

They will make kids vote on each other, after one-on-one "conversations", to be accepted to a university. But it won't be an honest process, obviously. This platform will be used for tribes to collide and put others down. It will be a bleak nepotism and even race war experiment.

What is it with tech bros crashing out into becoming health-obsessed freaks? They're not focusing on sleeping, eating, and living well in general: they're obsessed with obscure drugs and studies. Someone tell them that medicine is not like software. Things aren't that precise.

The guys who got PhDs by playing with algebra and doing matrix demos are all doing "alignment" now, which means desperately improvising tricks so their companies survive the bubble and become an SaaS M&A/IPO. Any pay package conditioned to making AI really work will be rejected.

Every US medical horror story is about how large the bill is at the end. Every UK NHS horror story is some variation of, "I was suffering from constant headaches so went to the doctor and he took my liver and amputated by right foot."

Had Google not censored/sabotaged its own search engine, ChatGPT's first version wouldn't have looked so interesting to people. But it competed with an MSNBC-like search engine. Google was awesome until around 2010. A talking encyclopedia wouldn't have sounded so interesting.

Beijing is an incredible city, and I hope that professor Tao gets a good offer and leaves. He can then select all the non-White and non-Jew students and staff as he needs.

Seed oil opponents and "healthy food" people in general are all ignorant and insufferable. Ignore everything they say.
