Roads are wet and some areas remain slushy, especially on bridges and overpasses. Please remind friends and family to take their time and use caution if they need to drive today.

Our School Resource Officers on patrol today stumbled upon some fun outside Grapevine Elementary. Now THIS is how you take a snow day!

Here's a special flashback Friday for you: K9 Ranger enjoying the snow in March of 2015, versus K9 Thor in the snow now. A decade apart, but both loved very much by their handlers and all of us.

TRAFFIC ALERT - All of our bridges, overpasses and flyovers are iced over, and our officers are responding to multiple crashes throughout the city. Please stay off the roads if you can, and if you must travel, slow down. We do not want anyone to get hurt.

School Resource Officer Smith surprised his kindergartners with a special treat: a visit from some of our K9 Thor plushies! We think the pups are a hit with these Cannon cubs, and love SRO Smith’s drive to create memories and trust with students.

Thanks to our GCISD community, parents & Special Olympics athletes for welcoming our School Resource Officers at the 2nd Annual Bocce Ball Tournament. We had a blast both cheering on and playing with students and fellow SROs from Colleyville PD. #Grapevine Police #WeAreGCISD

We had a very sweet group of young ladies get a tour of our building with Sergeant Bostick. Thanks to the girl scouts who made us this awesome poster and shared some of our favorite cookies.

A gorgeous day to cheer on athletes in the GCISD Special Olympics at Mustang Panther Stadium. It warms our hearts to see so many parents and supporters watching the games. Thanks for letting our officers and VIPS (volunteers) join in the fun!

Sometimes slowing down really can save lives. Officer Duer was patrolling at Meadowmere this morning when he saw this happy creature crossing the road. Officer Duer stopped to assist his journey. Remember to watch for wildlife on the roads, especially in the warmer months.

We were honored to celebrate our Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) at their annual awards banquet. 56 members volunteered the equivalent of 8 full-time employees! Their work is invaluable are we are forever grateful. Thanks to Kevin McNamara for an inspiring keynote address.

Our Grapevine Community Outreach Center now has its own Little Free Library, thanks to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Molly Corbin Chapter. Even more special - it's the DAR's first bilingual Little Free Library, too! Thank you for this generous donation.

This Police Week we honor those who answer the call to serve, day or night. Thank you to the brave officers who wear the badge, and to the families who share them with the world.

On National Peace Officers Memorial Day we honor the courage of those who serve and the memory of those who gave everything. Behind every badge is a family, a sacrifice, and a story that never fades. For those who make it home - and those who don’t. We will never forget.
