Autocomplete is coming to Amp's prompt input field to save you time typing symbol/file names. Guess: (A) Uses an LLM to suggest completions –OR– (B) Just insta-suggests terms found in open/recent files (like in Emacs dabbrev)

Thread sharing in Amp is great because it: • Makes code reviews easier (just staple the thread's URL to the description to show the reviewer what you told Amp) • Teaches your team how to use coding agents with no extra effort • Makes you look cool: mitchellh.com/writing/non-tr…

Followers don’t matter. It’s a vanity metric. Every single platform over the last few years have shifted to becoming increasingly algorithmic. That’s why you could crush content and not see amazing follower growth like years ago. You could do hacky stuff to pump follower

Being a hockey goalie requires a certain level of stupid But when you crush it (like it did tonight) there is no better feeling on earth

Francois Chaubard, member of hazyresearch at Stanford, had me on for the inaugural Hidden Layer Podcast. We talk coding agents, the path forward for model improvement, and whether scale is truly all you need. Fun story: Francois and I go way back—once upon a time I was his TA!

I sense a coming schism in coding agents. “bicycle for the mind” human-in-the-loop vs. “hours of autonomy” human-out-of-the-loop

G̶e̶n̶e̶r̶a̶l̶ ̶s̶u̶b̶a̶g̶e̶n̶t̶s̶ → Specialized subagents Preview of a `codemod` subagent in Amp. Would you use this? For what tasks? How much parallelism (# of files)?

The Amp finder, the subagent that searches through code to surface relevant context, is now 50% faster with no effective loss in quality.

The thing I appreciate about Jason’s courses is they are NOT pay-to-teach. Students pay for the courses (he does give some away for free), and he just reaches out to the people who are authoritative on a given topic. Wish this were the rule and not the exception!
