Cool new paper from the fabulous Dakota D. Witzel, PhD on links between positive and negative daily events and subjective cognitive complaints (e.g., difficulty concentrating). She is so good at article titles!

Am important message on de-stigmatising illnesses that have a strong mental or behavioral component (like CFS), mind/body connection, and how psychological therapy can often help even when there is a biological/physical component (which there always is)

New paper on links between child empthy and health led by Biobehavioral Health Hannah Schreier, with BBH graduate students Aishwarya Ganguli and Cate Givens, and Penn State HDFS Damon Jones. It was fun to help with this fascinating and important work!

Happy to see #PNIRS2024 kicking off with some excellent aging-related programming, related to dietary factors and how they relate to cognitive aging and Alzheimer's disease risk. And with a lovely combination of animal-model and human research! #healthyaging #PsychoNeuroImmology

Another successful and fun #PNIRS2024 conference. Great science, conversation, and catching up with colleagues. (and even a little dancing at the banquet)!

I was starting my first project at Pitt when COVID happened. We pivoted to remote collection, including dried blood spots for inflammation; here we show this method is feasible, reliable, and valid in older adults. Could be especially useful for hard-to-reach populations in PNI!
