Those bricks look too good, is it just cost overlay or why do our affluent neighbourhoods have these in plenty Eric Kigada Cerebral Assassin ?
Inimicus Ignorantiae Cerebral Assassin Brick is the most readily available construction material for them. For us it would be in western & central but due to poor quality bricks, compressed concrete blocks is used instead. We can do with more brick manufacturers in the country. We have the soil for it.
Eric Kigada Cerebral Assassin Well, is it difficult to make them locally in those regions? Do they require high skill or heavy machinery? At the current costs by Clay works (I am unaware of what they are), is it more feasible than paint for the exterior, if you count long term maintenance costs?
Inimicus Ignorantiae Cerebral Assassin Actually no. They just need to be compressed properly & not have Stones in them. Then the firing has to be thorough so that a brick when hit, produces a ring sound. The machines are basic really. Fired brick has been one of the earliest building materials used by man.
