We're starting to recruit postdocs to work on this exciting ERC (now UKRI) project. Please get in touch if you would like to join us, or spread the word. #phosphatases #redox #Tcells Europe-SFRR The Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine EMBO YIP

Really proud of these two studies Jin-Feng Zhao and Abbie Brewer! Targeted dephosphorylation by small bivalent molecules is feasible and can rewire signalling! Well done to everyone involved and great collaboration with Kei Sakamoto and Dario Alessi.

Targeted Dephosphorylation In Action!! Two studies by Jin-Feng Zhao and Abbie Brewer from the Sapkota Lab. Excellent collaboration with Kei Sakamoto. cell.com/iscience/fullt… and cell.com/iscience/fullt… MRC PPU University of Dundee UoD Life Sciences

New paper (royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rs…) by Sapkota Lab PhD student Lorraine Glennie establishes the molecular basis for pathogenesis of PKP caused by a novel mutation in FAM83G. Excellent collaboration with clinical team led by Amaia Lasa-Aranzasti from Vall d'Hebron.

Excited to kick off our post-summer series! This Thursday we are hosting Gopal Sapkota sharing insights on redirecting phosphatase through induced proximity. **Important: The time has changed to 12 PM EST!

The final work from my PhD The Francis Crick Institute is out today in Open Biology The Royal Society! Using zebrafish, we show that the poorly understood, oncogenesis-related gene Fam83f plays roles in larval hatching and the DNA damage mediated autophagic response. 🐟🧬1/2 royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rs…
