Kingfishers are ready for an action packed day!

Today the children zip lined, climbed and canoed! They showed amazing bravery, determination and teamwork! Well done, Kingfishers!

Kingfishers have just left Thorpe Woodlands and expeect to be back at school at around 4:15PM.

This week's newsletter includes snapshots of some of the exciting learning that has taken place this week from robotic drama to extracting DNA! We hope you all enjoy the bank holiday weekend and we look forward to seeing the children on Tuesday.

This is a friendly reminder to 'Wear it Green' tomorrow for Mental Health Awareness Day. Our whole school community are invited to wear green(ish) clothing or accessories and we will take part in movement breaks during the day as we learn about looking after our wellbeing. 🩳✅💚

Our Year 5 pupils represented Gorseland in the Inter-Primary School Maths Challenge today. They really enjoyed the competition and their arithmetic, problem solving and team work skills helped them gain first place. A fantastic achievement!

We have been lucky enough to have EARLY Minds workshops for our pupils delivered by SuffolkMind The children have been talking about different needs and kitbag strategies to help themselves and others return to wellbeing. Dragon breathing has been a particular favourite!

What a fantastic turnout for our Gorseland Community Day! From year group performances and market stalls showcasing their handmade products to drumming workshops and our whole-school parade – we loved celebrating the children’s learning and the diversity within our community!

Thank you Ipswich Town Football Club for visiting us on your trophy tour - it certainly caused some excitement!
