A few years ago I went to a pig sanctuary and most of the pigs were stoned from eating green acorns. This one, Wilbur, couldn’t stand up and was too big to lift, so the staff had to leave him in this bush and wait for him to sober up.

Just woke up from a dream where I was going to a book launch and reading for Sofia Ajram - COUP DE GRÂCE - Oct 1’s wonderful novella, COUP DE GRACE … but got stuck on a train and then lost in the station while trying to find a coffee before heading to the event. *sigh* Life imitating art.

I’ve been looking at different ways authors can promote books not just for themselves, but for each other, and for titles that need wider visibility. So I’m trying a new promo idea/ trend called #BookChain, and I encourage anyone interested to start their own Book Chains!

I've lived in OR since 2005 and I've set 90% of my fiction here because I believe Portland is the perfect crime/horror fiction town. It's New Orleans meets New York with something dark and dank all its own. For my $ & to my lament Keith Rosson writes Portland better than anyone.

Well, I’ll be damned. Keith Rosson’s THE DEVIL BY NAME is a wild ride! Take all you loved about FEVER HOUSE (the characters, the world, great style, and devilish mayhem) and *start* with it already dialed to 11 … then just keep cranking it up. I devoured this one. Great stuff!

In the late '60s, the FBI launched a campaign to destroy the Black Panther Party by any means necessary. The title story in The Nightmare Box and Other Stories takes inspiration from that dark history and puts a supernatural spin on it. Read it here: cursedmorselspress.com/product/the-ni…

This one is a blast. It’s a continuation of FEVER HOUSE in the best way - it builds the world, brings in new characters that expand the scope, and brings the crazy demonic stuff in a *big* way—all while keeping that spark of heart that drives all of Keith’s work. You’ll love it!

I had a great time a learned a lot from Kyle’s class! Even if you already know *how* to write horror, he can help you understand more clearly why it works and what you’re already intuitively trying to do and that kind of insight is invaluable. Also, great readings and exercises!
