Some say the third time's a charm. For us, every time is a charm! This week, the #GEC was recognized for the third month in a row for our growth in attendance by the #EveryDayCounts initiative by Mayor Muriel Bowser. Congrats to everyone! Let's make 4 months happen! #Goodwill

April is #NationalPoetryMonth and the #GEC is celebrating in a variety of ways! Yesterday, we invited local poet Terri Cross of Folger Shakespeare Library to speak w/ our students about her work. Topics that she discussed revolved around her literary influences and experiences as a DC poet.

We’re excited to welcome @ProfessorWherry of Princeton University to the GEC today! As a part of our ongoing Author Talk series, he’s discussing the meaning of credit scores with our students. #Goodwill #nonprofit

LOCAL GRANDMA GRADUATES HIGH SCHOOL: Lula Mae Thomas from NE DC is proving it’s never too late to go back to school! In 7th grade, she had to drop out to do farm work and help support her family. Now at 71, she’s finally finished high school at Goodwil Excel DC NBC4 Washington

Thank you The Washington Post for helping celebrate our Goodwil Excel DC graduates, The Corbins! THIS is what our mission is all about. #Goodwill washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2019…
