Our Reception children celebrated VE Day, learning about its significance, making ribbon sticks and flags, and playing traditional British games like tick-tack-toe. They looked fantastic in red, white, and blue, celebrating peace, pride, and history together. #VEDay

On Friday, our Year 5 football team did us proud at the tournament! Every player showed fantastic ambition, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout—an excellent representation of our school values on and off the pitch.

Year 3 had a brilliant time visiting St Thomas' Church as part of their RE topic What is Worship? They explored the features of a church, learned about Christian holy days, and saw how people come together to worship. A great way to bring their learning to life!

Reception had a brilliant time visiting St Thomas’ Church! The children loved exploring the different parts of the church, ringing the bell, and even having a go at playing the organ. A big thank you to St Thomas’ for such a warm welcome!

School Nursery have been role-playing as doctors and patients—using stethoscopes, writing prescriptions and caring for each other, all while building imagination and communication skills!

School Nursery have been busy exploring nature around school using magnifying glasses to hunt for insects. The children worked together brilliantly, developing their communication and listening skills while nurturing their curiosity about the world around them!

Our Reception children have been learning all about bees. We have been reading 'The Secret Life of Bees' and learning lots of fun facts! The children have also been bee painting and printing, making pinecone, planting flowers to help the bees and making bee houses. 🐝 🍯

Year 6 Activity Week Year 6 have had a brilliant time at Haigh Hall! From tackling the high ropes to showing off their skills on the adventure golf course, they’ve jumped straight into the fun with enthusiasm and teamwork!

School Nursery children explored the outdoors, enhancing their motor skills in the mud kitchen and sand area. They collaborated to create magical potions, cakes, tea, and ice cream using their imaginations.

Year 6 Activity Week Year 6 have had a fantastic week so far! On Wednesday, the children enjoyed an exciting day of paddleboarding and kayaking and had an absolutely brilliant time out on the water.

We enjoyed a visit from Rev. Helen from St Thomas’ Church, who taught us about the Christian festival of Pentecost. The children listened respectfully and were fascinated by how the popcorn transformation symbolized the Disciples’ changing feelings during Pentecost.

Our Reception children are fascinated by the butterfly life cycle! 🐛🦋 They've been observing our caterpillars, naming them, and predicting their butterfly forms. They've also painted butterflies and confidently labelled their parts. #EYFS #LifeCycles

Our Reception children have kicked off their new topic all about Africa! They've been busy creating African-inspired art and masks, and enjoyed acting out their class text, Handa’s Surprise

School Nursery children loved learning about the butterfly life cycle last term. They watched as caterpillars grew, formed chrysalises, and turned into butterflies. One butterfly lingered, giving many children a special chance to hold it before it flew away! 🦋✨
