Today I’ve been sworn in as Minister for Employment; Innovation, Medical Research and the Digital Economy; and Small Business. I’m excited about the task ahead and acutely aware of the profound difficulty being faced by so many businesses and the people who depend on them.

I’ve just put a call out to an Australian GPs forum, suggesting whoever the regular doctor of Dan Andrews is to kindly call him, and ask him to take just one day off. I was only half joking - cannot imagine how difficult that job is right now. We need him at his best.
