Private Hire Driver arrested at 2100 hours by our GMP Special Constabulary for failing a road side drugs test. We are doing an enforcement operation with #Salford, #Wolverhampton and #Sefton Council Taxi Licencing and @BTPSpecials in the city this evening. G

Our GMP Special Constabulary have been enforcing the 30mph speed limit on #AnsonRoad & #DickensonRoad this evening. Highest speed recorded was 57mph…. #SpeedKills . The stopping distance required is much higher when travelling at 57mph compared to the limit of 30mph. G

Our GMP Special Constabulary have been continuing to deal with speeding & careless driving this week on #DickensonRoad. Uninsured drivers, unlicensed drivers & those speeding have been reported. Some drivers with dangerously tinted windows have removed the tints for us. G

Non UK registered Porsche stopped with illegal lights after midnight on #StockportRoad by our GMP Special Constabulary. 21 year old driver fails a road side drugs test. #Arrested. He is unable to produce insurance and the car is seized. G

Our GMP Special Constabulary have been enforcing the speed limits on #MatthewsLane Gorton Police (GMP) & dealing with traffic issues on #StockportRoad Longsight & Moss Side Police (GMP) . 3 🚘 seized for no insurance. Several reported for stopping in the controlled area (zig zag lines) of the crossing in Longsight. G

Last Night GMP Special Constabulary utilised two of their Standard Drivers (and additional officers) to assist Spec Ops teams with prisoner transport. Multiple prisoners taken to custody for a number of offences including TOMV, Shoplifting, Drink Drive and Drug Drive. #CitizensInPolicing

Driving in #Bury whilst blatantly drinking beer WILL catch police attention! Our GMP Special Constabulary stopped & #ARRESTED the driver for drink driving after failing a roadside breath test Oh...and the male driver was then further arrested for being #WANTED for breach of court order!

#Bury Driver pulled up next to our GMP Special Constabulary at the lights to share her overnight custody story... But with no insurance, her vehicle had a different tale; 'Seized!'

Meet our shining star of the day! Fresh out the car wash, sparkling like new... but #Seized by our GMP Special Constabulary The driver was disqualified & uninsured, but hey, at least the car was clean! Remember folks, no amount of soap and wax can cover up a lack of insurance or licence!

PCSO's spotted this overweight van driving around Bury and with our GMP Special Constabulary in the 'right place, right time' intercepted it... Surprise, surprise: no insurance & only a provisional driving licence. Vehicle seized & driver reported straight to court!

Our GMP Special Constabulary have been conducting traffic operations on #StockportRd, #DickensonRd #AnsonRd & #MatthewsLane this week. Highest speed detected 56mph. Multiple drivers reported for speed, no insurance & driving without due care. G

Driving without insurance costs: Hassan Mahmood, 24 of Withington was found guilty at trial on 8/10/24 of no insurance on 13/5/23 when stopped during a #TPCSO @GMPTraffic & GMP Special Constabulary traffic operation on Princess Road. He was fined a total of £902 and given 8 points. G

Our #TPCSO’s, Local PCSO’s & GMP Special Constabulary have been out on Princess Road Manchester dealing with inconsiderate parking /obstructions of the road, footpath and tactile paving. Several Drivers Reported for unnecessary obstruction. Please park considerately. G

At the weekend our GMP Special Constabulary conducted an operation with Wolverhampton Council checking over 70 of their Private Hire vehicles that operate in Manchester were complying with the terms of their licence & that their vehicles were in good condition. Wolves Council G
