These are elementary school children who woke up this morning. Who ate their favorite cereal. Who tied their shoes in double knots. Who laughed with friends on the bus. Now more than a dozen are dead. This isn’t normal. It doesn’t have to be this way. It can’t keep being this way

Lying under oath is a crime. Committing a crime seems like solid ground for impeaching a Supreme Court justice. Or 6.

The messaging needs to be clear, consistent and true. “Congress can override what the Supreme Court did and pass a law to legalize abortion. To do that, we need to elect 2 more Democratic Senators and to hold the House. Pres Biden will sign a law codifying Roe if that happens.”

I will always stand for choice. Because reproductive rights don’t start & end with abortion. When we look at the entire reproductive continuum through the lens of reproductive justice we realize that our bodies are legislated against at every stage along the continuum. #RoeVWade

The same people that are fighting to prevent abortion access are fighting to keep resources away from us like: health care, education, affordable housing, green space, healthy food, & are invested in the militarization of the police, incarceration & controlling reproduction.

If Republicans can end the filibuster to install right-wing judges to overturn Roe v. Wade, Democrats can and must end the filibuster, codify Roe v. Wade, and make abortion legal and safe.
