Tonight 45th Parallel Universe will stream a film of Les Boréades recorded at @picapdx. The chamber orchestra was immersed in Brad Johnson's #photogrammetry, which was animated in real-time with #virtualcinematography tools that we created at Glowbox. Info: 45thparallelpdx.org/concerts/les-b…

Here’s a look back at some of our research for 45th Parallel Universe's Les Boréades performance. We created the #pointclouds from Brad Johnson’s #photogrammetry of natural environments. This effect shows one point cloud transforming into another with the effect masked by a sphere.

To help video calls feel less flat and more fun, we created this 3D campfire scene and placed our live #Zoom webcam videos in virtual sleeping bags. Video participants can make shadow puppets that are cast onto the environment thanks to the fire’s real-time rendered lighting.

We’re exploring the ocean floor in #AR by making a viewfinder with our hands! With this intuitive gesture, we’re able to dynamically focus and expand the density of a #photogrammetry #pointcloud by making the rectangle formed by our fingers bigger or smaller.

Take a look through the mini mockup projection scrims we used in 45th Parallel Universe’s Les Boréades performance. Projected video permeated the scrim material, bringing real-time digital renderings of #pointclouds made from Brad Johnson’s #photogrammetry into physical space.
