New music takes centre stage at Presteigne Festival | Gŵyl Llanandras - a Welsh home from home for composers. Tonight, Edward Gregson’s viola concerto ‘Three Goddesses’ captured hearts and minds with rich storytelling and sumptuous playing from Rachel Roberts and the Festival Orchestra.

It was brilliant! Have to say though - I was utterly shocked at the attitude of some of the ‘old-time’ Prommers. Unfriendly, unwelcoming and rude. If I was a 1st timer with no idea about their reputation, I wouldn’t go back. Nearly left before the 2nd half because of it!

This is why Les Mis was interrupted last night - don’t necessarily agree with their methods, but at the end of the day, their cause are absolutely valid and anyone who can’t see beyond a ruined night at the theatre is incredibly short sighted
