Stunning morning, crisp and fresh. Enjoyed the peace and tranquility whilst walking the course.

Toby got ⭐️ of the day at school and the first thing he wanted to do with the class mascot ‘super meerkat’ is take it for a drive around the course.

These photos are over 30yrs apart and a generation on. It’s wonderful to remember so clearly spending time as a kid with Dad Gareth Roberts at his work and now getting to do the same with Toby and Elsie and their love for coming with me at an opportunity.

Stunning morning on the course. Holding up well in this prolonged dry spell so early in the year. Great to get the new pins out and other detailed pieces to raise the presentation levels.

Maiden voyage for our Toro Golf 3555-Ds. Admittedly not much grass to cut with how dry it is but nice to start up a little definition having two Fairway Mowers for the first time.

Details and Data: replacing the old entrance signage with something more consistent to the style of the course for a classier first impression. Samples for OM testing and a nice bonus to see the fescue making an appearance in the Vredo lines from last month.

To add a special touch to the 1st Tee at Hayling Golf Club, we have added a cask supplied by Sandeman Port. The Sandeman Family founded the club in 1883 and now on special occasions, players will not get to enjoy a glass of ‘Founders Reserve’ before they start their round.

Definition is slowly occurring around the links after last week much needed rain. The Toro Golf 3550-D with thinner bedknives has been a great addition to the fleet in reducing time on our surrounds and maintaining a high QOC.

Plenty of feathered inhabitants on the course as the sun rose today. Love the blend of golf and nature that we see as ambassadors to the land

Looking a little more like summer conditions for this early in the year with the drought! Cracking golden hour this morning.

The course has shaped up well for the Pro-Am, conditions were good and the team have done a fantastic job as growth has started to move finally.

One bonus to the dry spring is the rough remaining thinner. Also found an area where we stop the annual cut collecting of the rough. Shows perfectly the benefits of doing this practice every year even if the benefits don’t appear as obvious at times.

Great conditions to get 7.5ton/Ha down on greens and approaches and pot seeding fescue into a few poorer greens around the course.

Great afternoon spent with Dad Gareth Roberts and Scott playing the course. Long time since we’ve had a game together and thoroughly enjoyed the time together. #greenkeepingfamily
