Memento mori

Converting to Christianity once meant having to bear being perceived by others as a cringey uncool Ned Flanders-type. Orthodoxy as it is presented in the west and especially online seems like an attempt to have Christianity without the cringe. I think this is a mistake.

Guy who likes the Lord’s Prayer but buys into the “muh vain repetitions” talking point, so he switches between Matthew’s and Luke’s versions each time he prays it

Before you go to bed tonight: read a psalm, or pray the Lord’s Prayer, or read a chapter of the Gospel. Even if you do nothing else tonight for God, do that for Him and He will be pleased with your meager effort to honor Him.
