Imagine debunking yourself. It doesn’t even use the same vowels; it doesn’t say Asuroye, it says Isauria. “Inhabitants of Isauria. Land renders (translates) this as Assyrians, who in Syriac are ܐܬܘܪܝܐ (Āturāyē/Assyrians).” You’re doing the same—thinking it means Assyrians.

Today, during his historic visit to our homeland Tur Abdin, our Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II (Mor Aphrem II) visited my hometown Bethkustan (ܒܝܬܩܘܣܛܢ) and the Mor Eliyo Church, built in the year 343 AD. Bethkustan is also the birthplace of Saint Mor

An unidentified Muslim is seen spreading hate, insulting, destroying, and spitting on a cross at the Mor Hurmüz Chaldean Church in Mardin. The Chaldean Foundation said it will file a criminal complaint. When will Muslims show respect to Christianity in Tur Abdin?

Finding references to “Athor” or “Athoraye” (Assyria, Assyrians) in the Sasanian period (224–651 AD) is purely geographical and should not be applied ethnically. — Sebastian Brock, Christians in the Sasanian Empire
