Over the past three summers a16z crypto we've had 19 tremendous research interns. Want to be part of the summer '25 cohort? The application is open now, for full consideration apply by Nov 8. (Link in replies.)

Dionysis Zindros kicking off the Science and Engineering of Consensus workshop at SBC’25, talking about pod network

Are existing consensus protocols censorship-resistant, or do we need a new one? 🤔 Hear Odysseas Sofikitis, one of our scientists from the Common Prefix team, unbox this.

I would say pod network is one of those networks that I just can't say to: "This could just have been a L2" You should check it out, quite cool: - They trade ordering guarantees for creating a very low latency distributed ledger - Validators don't need to gossip, vote, etc -

New research center focused on blockchain infrastructure Columbia Engineering ! Made possible by Ethereum Foundation. Super-excited about this, more to come!

Recently Common Prefix organized a wonderful on-site in Athens. I co-hosted a ZK workshop, building a zero-knowledge version of the battleship game in ZoKrates: github.com/commonprefix/z… Check out the code, it is educative! Parts are left as exercises, can you fill them out?

Everything runs on ledgers — from banks and governments to entire economies. Blockchains can transform them into a global, scientific system of trust. Watch Dionysis Zindros keynote “The Vision of Blockchain” (Panathenea 2025, Athens). 1/3
