Short of cutting his arm off it’s difficult to know what Tarkowski’s supposed to do. Refs told to look for 3 things with handball. Deliberate movement of arm away from body. None. Clear additional arm movement. None. Arm position makes body position bigger & is unjustifiable. No.

I think unless tarky breaks his own arm he physically cant put it anywhere else. Absolute joke. New season same shit refs 🤬 #EFC

The body shape was not larger. No movement of hand to ball. The deflected ball certainly struck the arm. At the time it did the body was vertical. Not a penalty kick for me.

Im struggling to find the rule that says you cant lean towards the ball to try and block it. Otherwise defenders would be standing upright 100% of the time. Trying to put his arm behind his back (he doesn't have to) again short of breaking his own arm off not sure what he can do.

Watched that German kid a lot in the u21 euros, top player and a proper rat. Will suit Newcastle down to the ground.

Konate has just done the exact same as Tarkwoski vs Leeds. Should be penalty on that basis.

It's NOT a penalty let's get that straight. But Gary Neville has just said it isnt because "his arm is tight to his body" when it hit Konate but him and Jamie Carragher both said Tarkowski's was a 'definite' penalty. This is why fans get so pissed off.
