The resilience of the micu providers (all staff) is amazing. I’m devastated that it is necessary. Losing any pt inflicts deep wounds on everyone and it’s worse when having to be stand-in family too. We need to ensure care of our front line because we need them! OHSU News

The irony of this reality and the emphasis on wellness/resilience is not lost upon me ... A silver lining to the past 2 years is that the workplace is more flexible for physicians to follow our own advice and stay home when sick!

This change happened a lot faster than I thought it would…now awaiting the backlash about how this impacts surgical trainees being adequately trained at the end of residency. Seems like even more reason to move to an EPA model! @OHSUsurgery Karen

A house divided cannot stand. Since 9/11, each election regardless of winner has only served to polarize and drive us further away from each other. Blame the system all you want but it is WE, the people, who close ourselves off from each other and fail to understand our neighbors

Real things I’ve heard as a Paramedic. Telling us the whole story is kin... youtube.com/shorts/b1mtDwj… via YouTube Yep. In training it was good to know which bridge - gave you a better idea of what EMS was bringing you. (Although that’s assuming they only hit water.)
