#ESA2022 I am recruiting a postdoc with 木lessandro Ossola to study effects of heat on urban tree growth. We are open to folks with diverse research backgrounds bc the project could focus in several ways. UC Davis is a wonderful place to work! Apply here: recruit.ucdavis.edu/JPF05024

I’m so proud of Grace Horne for giving her first conference talk at #esa2022 on long-term moth responses to climate change. In fact I’m proud of all the students giving your first talks! It isn’t easy to enter a new field, and you deserve to be celebrated.

Our very own Grace Horne published her undergrad thesis today, and it made the cover of Environmental Entomology. Great going, Grace!! Her paper is about effects of ash decline on native caterpillars. academic.oup.com/ee/advance-art…

With ash trees decimated by the emerald ash borer, where do other insects that depend on ash go? A new study led by Grace Horne shows landscape managers that choosing the right replacements for ash is critical for such ash-reliant native insects. entomologytoday.org/2023/02/07/ash…

Fantastic job, and congratulations, Lindsey Mack ! It's been an honor and a pleasure having you as a mentee and colleague, and I look forward to seeing what's next!!
