With ButovskyLab, we show that silencing TIM-3 in brain-resident immune cells prevents neurodegeneration in a mouse model of #Alzheimers disease. Deletion of TIM-3 in microglia enhances phagocytic clearance of toxic amyloid beta. nature.com/articles/s4158ā¦
Thrilled to have collaborated with the amazing Kuchroo Lab! We uncovered that silencing of a GWAS-AD TIM-3 in an #Alzheimers model by supercharging microglial clearance of toxic amyloid beta. A big step forward for neuroimmunology and translational research!
