A few days up at Boulmer...outside 2 Marsh Tits, this Velvet-type Scoter was most interesting yesterday aft with Mark Eaton. Surf-like, with quite a bit more white around the face and different bill/head profile, though very changeable in pics... Appreciate any thoughts...

An inland Common Scoter studies for #SuperSeabirdSunday This handsome drake was at Pugneys CP recently and gave me the best views I've perhaps ever had of the species. I usually see them far out at sea. Cheers

A surprise to find 2 snipe on the little pond on Brown's Edge Road this morning & 50+ flock of fieldfare at Ingb & 2 large skeins of pink feet flying east, easily 200+. Barnsley Birders Martin Wells

Nice autumnal colours on my morning walk round RSPB_OldMoor. Two whooper swans on Mere flew off west. GW Egret st back of Mere flew towards WS. Peregrine high on monitoring pylon.
