My Shot. Pretty Broken Flowers. 7/17/25

I used to party on Friday evenings, and now I'm just as happy with a 1 ton load of topsoil on the back of my truck. Life is good! Happy Friday, everyone.

My son is now enrolled at Horizon Aviation to get his pilots license. Exciting times.

My Shot. Good Sunday Morning, Everyone!

Things I do when my mom is not around. My first unsupervised use of her tractor. I didn't break anything, but I did get it dirty. It has been a productive Sunday using the stump grinder attachment.

My son has logged his 2nd hour of flight time. Just 58 classes to go. Plus, ground school. Who needs money when you can have a son that is a pilot. I will learn to love ramen noodles I guess...

My Shot. The planet is fine, and Mother Nature will always win.

My Shot. Our climate change down here is when you stop using any building, house or barn, Mother nature will change it for you really quickly.

My Shot. This building is near Arbuckle Landing in The Great Dismal Swamp. It is very difficult to get to this location, but worth the effort. It is like a time capsule.

My Shot. We played with bubbles after the rain. I saw that the bubbles were not popping when they hit the clover, so I got my camera out.

You can still have fun playing with bubbles at any age. This is my mother-in-law giggling like a schoolgirl.

I used an old pool deck and turned it into a dog obstacle course. Our puppy is half Australian Shepherd. She is smart and very energetic. I don't think it will take long for her to master this. I will add to it later. I make stuff.

My Shot. Dog training, she has mastered the steps up, but she is not sure about the ramp down. I tease her down with toys.

My Shot. She is not even 5 months old, I don't know what we were thinking to get such a clever and high voltage dog. But we love her anyways.

I'm old enough enough to watch the rain and say "we needed this". And we did need this.

I made that 16-foot-long bridge to connect my mother in laws property to ours. Then I made that bench from an oak tree that fell during a storm. I make stuff.

I'm working on a couple of projects right now. One of them requires two-part epoxy. I poured the left-over epoxy in this clamshell. I'm glad I didn't just trash it like I did with the last batch I mixed, live and learn. I make stuff.
