This is such a strong ballot result. 9 in 10 teachers voting to strike. Our Govt’s anti union laws are the most repressive in OECD countries - in those countries strike action could be called. Solidarity with NASUWT. Down with these undemocratic laws.

Of course, violence can happen in well run schools. But it is much more common in schools that have inconsistent or incoherent systems. Kids need love, structure and an awareness of consequences. And they all deserve to be safe, in calm, dignified spaces
