A follow up on this as people seem to think it matters what kind of battery (Rechargeable vs Alkaline) you use in the IKEA devices. x.com/geoffrey_mcrae…

A follow up of the follow up of the followup :D Problem found and fixed IKEA. Your Parasoll devices are defective because you cheaped out with the power filtering of the dc-dc converter. youtube.com/watch?v=1u22f4…

Ummm, this wasn't expected... RDP/VNC killer for local VMs. No pass-through GPU, running at 120hz, zero perceivable latency. youtube.com/watch?v=cg50X9…

The secret sauce to get Windows 11 to talk to smb on a TrueNas server is: `Set-SmbClientConfiguration -RequireSecuritySignature $false`. Remember the days when file sharing just worked with a few mouse clicks for general home users?

Been havng a blast the past month building a sim racing rig from scratch, designed in #FreeCad. Almost finished now, ran out of steel and need to invert the gas pedal. Chair from a LandCruiser Prado, Upgraded Simucube 1, Moza Racing CRP2 pedals. First time MiG welding.

Got some plate steel and finished off the bottom, just need to get an RJ12 joiner and dig out an old telephone cable to extend the accelerator pedal cable.

That's a new one for me, I have a server that the #php fpm process is refusing to accept new requests from #nginx over a unix socket. Turns out `max_execution_time` is not guaranteed, if a #curl request hangs it might block the worker forever, the fix: `request_terminate_timeout`

It's official, Battlefield 6 is Anti-VM. DICE why are you doing this to us? You're only keeping the legitimate users from using VMs, hackers bypass these detections quite trivially.

I have been anti-VPN for years now (outside of corporate VPNs obviously). Now I am even more sure that I made the right decision. Your browser is designed to be secure by nature, your ISP can not spy on you, VPNs are the threat. youtube.com/watch?v=1opKW6…

I had a random USB drive that I used for my retro PC that got damaged some time ago when I moved house. I just shoved it away and figured i'd fix it one day, and then the exact device turned up in my YouTube feed: youtube.com/watch?v=mb5GH7… Recovered everything :)
