Twice a year we perform a marine cruise around #Disko_Island to monitor physical-chemical conditions and to sample plankton as part of our commitments to Greenland Ecosystem Monitoring. The autumn cruise takes place this week and includes a large number of stations Biologisk Institut SeaDataNet ASLO

The Boards of Aage V. Jensen’s Foundations recently visited the Zackenberg research station in Greenland. They were given a tour and introduced to the vital environmental monitoring work carried out under the Greenland Ecosystem Monitoring programme #GEM Greenland Ecosystem Monitoring

New paper from Zackenberg! Recent study by Julien Fouché et al finds that summer rain events significantly boost the export of dissolved organic matter (DOM) and silicon from permafrost catchments into glacial rivers, like the Zackenberg River. zurl.co/Akvt Zackenberg Research Station

Greenland Ecosystem Monitoring personel going to Kobbefjord through 4-5 cm #ice in the #fjord. This definitely marks the beginning of the end of the #season 😊 Doing #fieldwork in the #Arctic for Greenland Ecosystem Monitoring

The #fieldseason in Kobbefjord is officially over. #BioBasis staff couldn’t reach the #station due to #fjordice. So close, yet sooo far ;) Doing #fieldwork in the #Arctic for Greenland Ecosystem Monitoring
