Really thrilled that this is out! Two new toxin-antitoxin-chaperone systems that work to defend bacteria (and the prophages on which they’re encoded) against infection by incoming phages. Great work from our co-authors.

Different ToxSAS toxin-antitoxin subfamilies have different mechanisms of neutralisation. Beautiful structures from Abel Garcia-Pino’s group. Great to be involved in this!
