This week, we met Ministers to discuss climate impact on winter roads. Warmer temps shorten ice seasons, affecting travel and vital services. Collaboration is key for solutions.

I met with the Honourable Lisa Naylor today, Minister of Transportation & Infrastructure, & staff from Indigenous Economic Development to discus how to improve emergency service coordination response in SCO member nations. I look forward to continued dialogue on this matter.

Today, we kick off SCO’s Health Transformation Conference titled “Achieving Reconciliation: A First National Gathering.” I am proud to see our communities here, as we take the time to listen, learn, and begin to decolonize healthcare for Dakota and Anishinaabe Nations.
