Overdose prevention centers (OPCs) are more than just a place to prevent overdose. They're a place of connection, support, and safety. These centers can play a crucial role in our communities and it's time we make them more accessible to those who need them the most.

I care about people who use drugs. Specific people, and in general. You too? It’s worth listening to this episode of ⁦This American Life⁩, about ⁦Never Use Alone⁩. So powerful, so practical, so life-saving. thisamericanlife.org/809/the-call

I am so lucky to be able to work alongside and learn from this talented and passionate advocate. If you know, you know. masslive.com/news/2023/09/e…

Yes! There’s a broad consensus that substance use should be treated as a public health matter. Thank you Ruth B. Balser Cindy Friedman for working to make that real by ensuring people are not locked up just for relapsing.

So grateful to Rep. ⁦Marjorie Decker for always — always! — standing up for families in the greatest need and working to achieve real solutions. We can’t shut kids out of shelters. A wait list is not a place to sleep. Massachusetts is better than this.

For 40 years, MA has said we won’t kick vulnerable kids out of shelters. Winter 2023 is not the time to start. Proud to stand with ⁦MACoalition/Homeless⁩ Coalition and ⁦Massachusetts Law Reform Institute⁩ to call on state leaders to act.

Andrea was a ball of energy, a brilliant advocate, a seasoned cynic and an eternal optimist. When we worked together, I learned and grew. I'll miss her warmth, wisdom and powerful fight -- and I'll keep pushing to expand on her vision and legacy.

Paging Ian Coss, whose fantastic GBH Big Dig podcast raised great questions about our relationship to ambitious infrastructure projects. My takeaways: these projects are very hard, complex and, yes, costly. And we must embrace bold transformational investments despite it all.
