I don’t understand how you can have Rice & Zubimendi together, which is already too defensive, and still select Merino as your third midfielder. Arteta is a different breed of negative. I’ve never seen a manager at a top club have such a defensive midfield as him.

Good cameo from Martinelli. Long overdue

If we signed a LW in the summer like we should’ve then it would’ve allowed Eze to play as a 10 and Martinelli being a back up striker. Would’ve given us a much better balance and put players in their best positions. Without a top LW our attack is one player short
