Drier weather the last few days allowed for wheat fields in Monroe County to receive aerial applications of fungicide.

Today we were able to get a test plot in at one of our patrons fields in Monroe County. In this test plot we have planted InVision, Dekalb & different competitor brands. #FSInVision

Over the weekend our master plot at our Chalfin Bridge location was planted. The plot consist of 48 corn hybrids, 3 seed treatments, flotegic seed nutrition and a flow agent. Other agronomics such as fungicides and nutritionals will be tested on this plot later in the season.

Several crop specialist & college interns joined Kevin Guebert & Eric West of GROWMARK, Inc. in evaluating one of our wheat plots. The purpose of the tour is to evaluate the existing FS wheat varieties, some competitive varieties, & some FS experimental varieties.

In May, Gateway FS invited the Nashville Community High School Choir to come and sing at our new Oakdale Grain Bin. The choir sang two songs inside the bin, one being The Star Spangled Banner. The grain bin is 105' W x 88' H and can hold 737,000 bushels. bit.ly/2Id5bZo

We were finally able to get our test plot in at our Woodlawn location. In this test plot we have planted a wide variety of Invision, Dekalb & different competitor brands. We look forward to seeing the results of this test plot come fall. #Plant19
