Back in 2008, motorists were paying an average of $3.92/gal over the Memorial Day weekend. That's like paying $5.80/gal today- could you imagine? Even 2022's $4.60 price is like $5.05/gal today...

people tend to see only what they want to see, you're free to use X's advanced search option, but most would rather live in the ignorance and accuse me of being against whatever their choice of party is

Looks like a potential reason for the Great Lakes price cycle was due to flaring and equipment failure at $XOM's Joliet, IL refinery a few days ago.

I'm a huge dog lover and this is heartbreaking- Chicago Animal Care and Control does a great job, but when !!!56!!!! dogs come in per DAY, it's nearly impossible. PLEASE- help foster a dog or cat- no matter where you are- Pets Are Worth Saving!

hi, I watch #gasprices for a living. no it's not. lowest in LA is around $2.30/gal. there are some promotions by a large chain of stations that lower prices 40c/gal for a few hours, but this isn't sustainable.

it's wild how many places I'm seeing our GasBuddy press release misquote what I said, dropping the "inflation-adjusted" part to make it sound way better. Frustrating how it misrepresents what we said, and then how people hold me/GasBuddy to blame. Sucks.

do better. this is as bad as sharing the $7.79/gal in California and trying to get people to think it's the price everywhere in California. People make *everything* political and I'm just sick of it.

YIKES- as $XOM Joliet is undergoing repairs, RBOB in use in Chicagoland, NW Indiana and SE Wisconsin jumped again today. If you're on the road, beware that prices could creep higher due to this outage.

Safe travels to all those hitting the road for Memorial Day- national average now $3.19/gal but should fade over the weekend.

Looks like improvement coming to the Great Lakes and SoCal- gasoline spot prices dropping notably in these two areas today, signaling that lower #gasprices will be coming back in the days ahead to these areas for now.

Patrick De Haan (@gasbuddyguy) 's Twitter Profile Photo

incorrect. gas prices are higher than they were in December, but at their lowest seasonal (Memorial Day) level since 2021. gas prices are up an average ~20c/gal since January.

Politicians getting it wrong: over the last 6 months, average #gasprices have climbed in 39 of the nation's 50 states, declined in 11. However, speaking seasonally, all 50 states are lower than last Memorial Day.
