I think most of us are now gently migrating off Twitter and onto Bluesky. A perfectly-timed informative blog by Steve Dudley to help you along... bou.org.uk/blog-dudley-ri…

A year before David McKee died, he sent me this Fabulous picture of Mr Benn. Even as an elderly gent, you can see Mr Benn still enjoying his adventures in the sunshine.

Nice to be back home in Dhaka. Local birding quiet but Yellow-browed Warblers now on winter territories and a bit easier to see therefore

Black-headed Bunting, imm. male, Padma River Bridge chars, 10 Jan 2025. One of three seen - but no sign of Yellow-breasted Buntings of a few weeks ago. Bonus flock of c150 Mongolian Short-toed Larks

Kimberley's sewerage system has been non-functional for many years and, as a result, the environment is being affected! The once thriving (and breeding!) population of Lesser Flamingos is sadly gone. dailymaverick.co.za/article/2025-0… Sol Plaatje Water&SanitationRSA Environmentza

Finally got round to cataloguing bird images from South Africa fieldtrip in January, including Drakensberg mountains, Mpumalanga grasslands and the Flock to Marion cruise. Now I'm missing the ocean. Photos & trip report here: ebird.org/tripreport/326…

Great to find a raft of 14 Short-tailed Shearwaters at Sonadia Island, Bangladesh on Global Big Day. 3rd or 4th record for the country and first not storm-blown. So confident one of them pinched part of breakfast!

A grand day around Cox's Bazar, BD, out on Saturday for Global Big Day. Almost last bird of the day as we reached the dock was this rather spiffing Chinese Pond Heron. Less than 20 records in Bangladesh.
