2/ Back in 2017, Andreas Horn & Michael Fox identified a whole-brain network that, when stimulated via subthalamic DBS, led to optimal motor responses in Parkinson’s patients. This work opened the door to ‘connectomic deep brain stimulation’ using functional network mapping.
