Thames Water wants permission to pollute until 2040. Instead of letting this happen, the government must take the company into special administration and end the sewage scandal. Pleased to add my name to We Own It's letter urging ministers to do this. weownit.org.uk/news/open-lett…

We have had endless cuts because "there's no money left". So the money diverted to a pointless war drive will come at the expense of other public spending. We need to protect SEND, welfare and the NHS, not US arms' manufacturers. No more austerity. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Thames Water's reply to a customer @robJGray82 about sewage spewing into the street. "Hydraulic overload", they say. That of course translates as we spanked all the money we should have invested in the sewage system, paid it all to shareholders and managers, inflated salaries,

I wrote this for an RSA event 12 years ago, last Year of the Horse when it was paired with wood (this year it's fire). I think this was alluded to in Li Xiadong's installation. I was abashed at its spiritual beauty tbh, not something in my locker, but knew I was lucky to be there
