I will never understand why anyone with no direct financial stake in the NBA would care about the market size of the teams in the Finals. OKC and the Pacers are clearly the best teams in their Conferences. Why do I care if 1 million or 20 million people watch the Finals?

This is one reason why I collect books and art … because they bring me joy and it’s not money spent on tangible things that are consumed and used up. When it comes to tangible things with value, it’s as much about stewardship as ownership.

It’s interesting (to me at least) that Bill hasn’t posted since Charlie’s assassination. My sense is that Bill recently met and did a podcast with Charlie, realized for himself that Charlie was a genuinely good dude and Bill’s confused, hurt, and even angry about this murder.
