I'm teaching databases this semester at Berkeley. My students all seem unusually brilliant. Not many go to office hours, and not too many folks post on the course forum asking project questions. Weirdly, the exam had the lowest recorded average in my 10 semesters teaching it.

Enjoyed getting to spend time FZSD StPeters helping in Technology class while students worked on computational thinking, debugging, and problem solving with BeeBot robots!

Kdg was working on pattern creation and recognition (and toolbar/trackpad skills) in Technology class FZSD Westhoff today, and they were so creative!

There can and should be a balance of screen use and non screen use while in the classroom BUT students should be creating, producing, manipulating, coding, etc with their devices in an active learning setting. I will stand on a hill about this one!
